Come join the fun for the Fifth Annual Great Pumpkin Race, sponsored by the Newtown Lions Club. The race will be held in the lower parking lot behind Edmund Town Hall on October 18 from 10:00 to 2:00. Build and decorate your own pumpkin racer or you can purchase one from the Lions.
There will be pumpkin races and pumpkin decorating contests by age groups. Pumpkin racers can also be entered in the pumpkin decorating contests. Application forms are available on the Lions website: www.newtownlions.org
There will be games for all ages, including a treasure hunt in a haystack, pumpkin bowling, bobbing for apples, a pumpkin ring toss and more. There will be exhibits by many community organizations and a grill run by the Knghts of Columbus
