Former Newtown Cop Indicted in Steroid Case
Former Sgt. Steven Santucci and others were indicted by a federal grand jury.

A federal grand jury has indicted former Newtown Sgt. Steven Santucci along with seven others who allegedly were part of a steroid-selling ring.
All defendants except Alex Kenyhercz are scheduled to be arraigned Thursday at 11 a.m. in Hartford, according to the Connecticut Post.
Kenyhercz is scheduled for Friday.

Santucci allegedly lived a lavish lifestyle complete with $30,000 African safaris, cruises and more than $111,000 spent on lodging over about three years.
He resigned following his arrest.

Federal authorities pinned Santucci as the ringleader who would import, manufacture and distribute illegal anabolic steroids to alleged co-conspirators.
He allegedly completed some deals using his desk at the department headquarters, according to an affidavit.
