Foundry Kitchen and Tavern Makes Season Brighter for Local Families in Need

Sandy Hook's Foundry Kitchen and Tavern has designated their restaurant as a drop off location for non-perishable food and winter coats.

Foundry Kitchen and Tavern, located at 1 Glen Road in Sandy Hook, has designated the restaurant as a drop off location for both non-perishable food items and new or used coats and jackets to help families in need this holiday season. Donations are welcomed through January 4, 2015.

The restaurant will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items to benefit the FAITH Food Pantry in Sandy Hook. Food items needed most include pasta, sauce, juice, and various canned goods. Foundry is also accepting clean, gently used winter coats and jackets to fit men, women, and children of all shapes and sizes. All donations will go directly to local families in need.

“This drive is a fantastic way to spread the giving spirit of the season, “remarked Chris Bruno, owner of Foundry Kitchen and Tavern. “What better way can we give back to our community than by sharing our abundance.”
