Gas Leak Triggers Evacuation Of Fairfield Hills Campus In Newtown
The Newtown Police Department is currently on the scene assisting multiple fire companies and Eversource technicians.

NEWTOWN, CT — The Fairfield Hills Campus closed shortly after 9 a.m. Thursday as a result of a gas leak.
The gas line is no longer actively leaking, but the area has been evacuated.
The Newtown Police Department is currently on the scene at Primrose Street, assisting multiple fire companies and Eversource technicians, Lt. Scott Smith said in an email.
