
The world famous Harlem Wizards will take on local Newtown teachers and principals on Feb. 22 at Newtown High School at 3 p.m.
Superintendent Dr. Joseph Erardi Jr. is showing his support for this city-wide community event. The last time the Harlem Wizards game to town, the gym was packed with families, teachers and the community- all laughing and enjoying the show.
The Harlem Wizards have a unique mission: to create awe-inspiring events throughout the country. At a Harlem Wizard’s game, fans will witness amazing basketball talent combined with hilarious comedy. It is a unique family event, where students, parents, teachers and the community can all laugh together. Throughout the game, fans will experience a display of tricks, coordinated ball handling, fancy passing and aerodynamic athleticism, combined with high-energy comedy and audience interaction. More than just basketball, the event is a comedic take on a regular basketball game, with lots of slam dunks, athletic tricks and humor, appealing particularly to young students.

The Harlem Wizards are a professional entertainment basketball team. They have toured the world with a team comprised of players with illustrious college and professional basketball careers. Each player brings their unique talent and humor to the court. The players are excellent role models for young people.
The game includes an audience participation half time show and free autograph session at the end of the game. This event is being organized by the PTA/PTSA from Newtown Schools and all proceeds benefit the schools.

Tickets are $8 for Students, $10 for adults in advance and $2 additional at the door. Tickets can be purchased at all Newtown Schools.
