Hawks Car Wash Opens In Newtown, Grand Opening Celebration Planned

NEWTOWN, CT — A new family-owned car wash in Newtown is preparing to celebrate its opening with two upcoming events, including a ribbon-cutting ceremony later this month.

Hawks Car Wash, located at the corner of South Main Street and Simm Lane, will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday, Oct. 30, at 4 p.m., according to the Newtown Department of Economic and Community Development.

A larger grand opening celebration is scheduled for Nov. 15.

The business offers car washing services, free vacuums, self-service detailing bays and an unlimited wash club with three membership levels.

According to the company's website, Hawks Car Wash was founded by two families with backgrounds in military service, public service, aviation and leadership.

"Founded by 2 families who have dedicated their lives to serving others, Hawks Car Wash is built on the same values that have guided us through decades of military service, public service, aviation, and leadership," the company states on its website.

The business is also offering a promotion of 25 percent off a one-year wash club membership through Oct. 31, according to the town's announcement.

Newtown First Selectman Bruce Walczak and representatives from the town's Department of Economic and Community Development are expected to participate in the ribbon-cutting celebration.
