Here's Where Newtown Ranks Among Top Places To Live In CT For 2023

NEWTOWN, CT — According to Rankings website Niche.com, Newtown is the No. 84 best place to live in Connecticut.

Niche.com gives Newtown an overall "A-" score. The town receives an "A" for its public schools and an "A-" for its family friendliness. In fact, Ridgefield was ranked No. 74 in Best Places to Raise a Family in Connecticut, No. 57 in Best Places to Buy a House in the state, and won the No. 43 spot with the best public schools in Connecticut, according to Niche.com.

Newtown received a "B+" for jobs, and a "B" in the categories of Housing, and Crime & safety

According to Niche.com, the median average home value in Newtown is $401,900 and the rent is $1,708 a month. The median household income in Newtown is $133,991.

West Hartford was once again deemed to be the No. 1 place to live in Connecticut for 2023. The Hartford suburb garnered an overall "A+" grade, and copped top marks for its public schools, family friendliness, and the health/fitness of its residents. It was also No. 1 on the list of the best suburbs in the state.
