How To “ Fundamentally Transform America”

The definition of FUNDAMENTAL is: relating to or affecting the underlying principles or structure of something, or serving as an essential part of something. The definition of TRANSFORM is:  to change markedly the appearance or form of; to change the nature, function, or condition of; to convert.

The Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution are the documents that establish who we are and how we operate in a democratic and free state. To fundamentally transform America would mean significantly changing these two documents, or at least maneuvering around the intent of these documents. Therefore, if I take the president at his word, “to fundamentally transform America” a phrase that he uses often, then I must conclude that he sincerely wants to transform this country into something other than what our founding fathers intended. Considering recent events, I think we can conclude that freedom and liberty has been significantly compromised in America in a manner consistent with his theory to fundamentally transform America.

Therefore, and if I were in agreement with such a transformation, I would suggest the following to the president. Any comparison to actual events is purely coincidental.

1. Increase the size of government by adding a czar for every conceivable economic, social and political issue. This will significantly increase the number of government departments and employees to support the these functions and give government more power.

2. Implement a health care plan so large and complex that no one will understand it, requiring a central commission to interpret and approve each and every case.

3. Always spend more than you take in. The president has indicated that our national debt is not a problem so continue to spend more than we take in. However, I still cannot figure out why this bothers me so much.

4. Continue to allow China to keep the Yuan artificially low relative to other currencies, contributing to our economic imbalance and trade deficit. This will continue to keep China employed and limit US hires.

5. Limit Offshore oil drilling, and do not capitalize on the US’  26% of the world’s oil reserves. This will keep us dependant on importing oil, giving OPEC significant control over our energy consumption and prices.

6. Restrict the Keystone pipeline, and do not invest in additional oil refineries. This will limit oil independence, restrict hiring, limit additional consumer spending and suppress economic growth.

7. Continue to invest in Green Energy, even though the technology is not quite ready to be implemented. This will significantly add to the billions of dollars already spent and increase the national debt.

8. Continue to regulate the financial industry by imposing more Dodd/Frank type legislation. The more restrictions and controls that we place on making money available for economic expansion, the fewer jobs will be created, causing citizens to become more dependant on government.

9. Open our doors to anyone who wants to come in. The more the merrier. Offer free medical care and welfare to all those who enter. Food stamps will be even more popular and our unemployment rate will  continue to be high contributing to our transformation.

10. Increase taxes on the very wealthy. By doing this we will insure that investment by the wealthy is kept offshore and eventually no expansion will exist and all of the wealthy will move to other countries.

11. Limit our military capability by not investing in improved technology and reduce our arsenal of weapons. By doing this we will reduce our prominence in the world, increasing our respect.

12. Reduce the size of our military and give control of our military operations to the United Nations. They will be better equipped to make universal and international decisions affecting our place in the world..

13. Offer government sponsored housing for all who cannot afford it. Tax the rich heavily before they move out of the country to facilitate the housing program.

14. Divide the country. Make race, Education, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Food Stamps, Unemployment Benefits and Women’s Health the divisive issues.

15. Blame poor economic growth, the increase in unemployed, shrinking of the middle class and the increase of those in poverty on any other administration.

16. Make sure your subordinates never tell you what is going on in the country. That way you can always say you didn’t know and avoid responsibility.

17. Target groups that are in opposition to your ideologies. Set it up in a government department that has significant power.

18. Talk about transparency, but do nothing regarding it. The American people are naïve: they’ll believe you.

19. Keep postponing the truth about any problem. Make it sound like yesterday’s issues. Divert attention to insignificant issues. Toss the blame back at the opposition, pointing out how they are creating a “sideshow”.

20. Emphasize how opponents are Flip-Floppers, but your own hypocrisy is the evolution of ideas.

21. Take many foreign trips, attend many fundraisers; go campaigning to solicit support for social ideas. By not being in the office you cannot be criticized for mismanagement or failed economic programs.

22. Print more money to off-set the limited amount of taxes received. The value of the dollar will become irrelevant, inflation will dominate the country, other countries will stop accepting our debt and we will go bankrupt.

This completes my recommendations on “How to Fundamentally Transform America.” Good luck Mr. President!
