JJ Stacks Brings Popular Comfort Food From Food Truck To Newtown Storefront

JJ Stacks opens next month in Newtown, bringing its food-truck favorites to a permanent Main Street home.

NEWTOWN, CT — A familiar name from Connecticut’s food-truck scene is putting down permanent roots in Newtown.

JJ Stacks is set to open its first brick-and-mortar restaurant at 71 South Main St., Newtown, bringing its popular American comfort food to the heart of town. The eatery is scheduled to open Feb. 2.

Fans of the truck know JJ Stacks for its hearty, made-from-scratch comfort food that hits all the right notes. From its signature Big Stack burgers piled high with special-blend patties, American cheese, bacon and jjSauce, to the classic Doggy Stack foot-long hot dog and customizable Stack Your Own burger options, there’s plenty to tempt every appetite. Beyond sandwiches, the menu features crispy wings, and a wide array of hand-cut fries — including crowd-pleasers like Crab Fries with old-bay-seasoned fries and house cheese sauce, Truffle Parm Fries, and loaded chili cheese fries.
