Join our Veterans 2NDGO Book Club (All are Welcome) Wed 10/26 6:00pm
C. H. Booth Library In-Person book discussion in the Genealogy Room on our 3rd floor at 6:00 pm on 4 Wednesdays: 10/26, 11/2, 9 & 16

All are welcome to a four-part discussion of Tribe by Sebastian Junger. Tribe
Tribe: on Homecoming and Belonging explores what we can learn from tribal societies about loyalty, belonging, and the human quest for meaning. It also addresses the loss of closeness that comes at the end of deployment that could explain the high rate of post-traumatic stress disorder suffered by military veterans today. Our natural instinct to belong to a small group defined by a clear purpose & understanding of each other defines the concept of a tribe. This tribal connection is often lost in modern society. Regaining it may be the key to our psychological survival.
Meeting dates are 6:00 pm on Wednesdays: October 26, November 2, 9 & 16. To learn more about 2NDGO Book Club visit www.2ndgo.org
