Juveniles Found Inside Fairfield Hills Building In Newtown: Police
Two youths were issued summonses after entering a restricted building at the campus, authorities said.
NEWTOWN, CT — Two juveniles were issued summonses after being found inside a restricted building at the Fairfield Hills campus in Newtown, according to police.
Officers responded on the afternoon of March 25 to a report of multiple people inside one of the buildings, according to a post from the Newtown Police Department.
Following an investigation, two juveniles were each issued a summons for trespassing, police said.

Authorities reminded the public that entering unused buildings at Fairfield Hills is not permitted, especially as warmer weather approaches.
Police said the buildings pose safety risks, including poor air quality, unstable structures, lack of supervision and the presence of pests.

Depending on the circumstances, additional charges could apply, including criminal mischief, burglary and risk of injury to a minor, police said.
