Lawrence William Tarala, Sr., 58, of Bethel, Passed Away Tuesday

Lawrence William Tarala, Sr., age 58, of Bethel, CT died Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Danbury Hospital. He was the husband of Gale Sharon (Peck) Tarala.

Larry was born in Norwalk, CT May 13, 1957, son of the late Norbert M. Tarala, Sr. and Emily (Avery) Tarala. He attended Bethel Schools and was a 1976 graduate of Bethel High School. He worked in the construction business most of his life and was a member of the First Congregational Church of Danbury. Larry enjoyed painting, word search puzzles, working around his house and going for walks. He was a former Volunteer Fireman in Bethel.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son: Lawrence W. Tarala, Jr. of Bethel, CT; sisters: Laura L. Taylor and her husband David Sr. of Bethel, Mary L. Banholzer and her husband Craig of Winsted, CT, Kathy L. Devine and her husband Kevin of Bethel, CT as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by brother: Norbert M. Tarala, Jr. He is also survived by his dog and buddy Buster.

The funeral will be held at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, CT, Monday morning at 11:00. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Bethel.
