Man Accused of Stealing $73,000 From Sandy Hook Charity to Plead Guilty: Report
A man who helped raise funds for a race to benefit Sandy Hook will plead guilty to six charges of wire fraud.

SANDY HOOK, CT-- Seventy-three thousand dollars was found to be missing from a charity founded by Robert Bruce, who stands accused of six charges of wire fraud, according to WMUR News.
A marathon for the 26.4.26 Foundation to honor the students and staff who died in the December 2012 attack at Sandy Hook Elementary School was held in 2013.

Bruce helped organize the race along with Sandy Hook School principal Dawn Hochsprung's step-daughter, Amy Lawton. Hochsprung was one of the victims who was shot and killed in the shooting.
Lawton told WMUR News:
“I felt almost complicit in continuing that scam, because it had come from me. To find out that day had been marred by what he had done was hard. It's kind of like, you're driving along and then you slam into a brick wall … going 60-70 miles an hour and then everything just kind of stops.”
According to the report, Bruce is expected to plead guilty to the charges. Read more here.
