Man Charged With Risk Of Injury To Child After Newtown Traffic Stop
Police said the man was arrested following a motor vehicle stop.
NEWTOWN, CT — A New Haven man faces multiple charges, including risk of injury to a child, following a traffic stop in Newtown this week.
According to Newtown police, an officer stopped a vehicle on South Main Street near Blue Spruce Drive on June 15 for a motor vehicle violation.
Following an investigation, Jeremy Deshawn Ashe, 40, of New Haven, was arrested and charged with risk of injury to a child, theft of plates, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating without minimum insurance and possession of marijuana, police said.

Police said Ashe was released on a $4,000 court-set bond and is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on June 25.
