Motorcycle Operator Injured in Newtown Crash

The operator was ejected onto the roadway.

A motorcycle operator sustained minor ijuries after being hit by a vehicle that ran a red light.

Police responded to the intersection of Sugar, Main South Main streets and Glover Avenue Sept. 23 around 7:44 p.m.

A vehicle traveling on Main Street ran a light and collided with the motorcycle operator, who was ejected onto the roadway.

The motorcycle operator was transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle was issued an infraction for failure to obey a traffic signal.
