Motorcyclist Seriously Injured, I-84 Shut Down In Newtown Crash
A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash and a highway was shut down for several hours, according to state police.

NEWTOWN, CT — A motorcyclist was seriously injured and I-84 was shut down due to a crash Wednesday evening, according to state police.
A 2019 BMW X3 and a 2016 Harley Davidson 3HX were driving eastbound on I-84 in the area of exit 10 in Newtown at 6:31 p.m. The motorcycle rear-ended the BMW, according to state police.
The motorcyclist was taken by ambulance to Danbury Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The driver and passenger in the BMW were not injured.
The highway was shut down and traffic was diverted off of exit 10 for about three hours.
