Naked Man Crashes SUV, Enters Stranger's House in Newtown
The naked man had crashed his SUV into the stranger's backyard, then let himself in through an unlocked door

NEWTOWN, CT — Police arrested a man after he crashed his sport utility vehicle into a backyard of a stranger's house and then let himself in through an unlocked door.
Police responded to a call around 8 a.m. Saturday morning of a naked man found walking about a residence on Church Hill Road. The owners of the house had just returned home from shopping to find that the stranger had let himself in through an unlocked rear patio door.
When police arrived on the scene they discovered that the man, Joseph Achenbach, 35, of Watertown, CT, had pulled off of Church Hill and crashed his 2018 Ford Escape into the rear yard of the victim's residence, while the homeowners were out.

"Obviously this was a very terrifying situation for the homeowners and we are very happy our officers were able to respond, in a prompt manner, and apprehend the suspect without anyone getting hurt," said Lt. Aaron Bahamonde in a statement released on social media. "We will not speculate as to the motive, but can say with certainty that alcohol and/or drugs played a role in Achenbach's behavior."
The police were unable to find Achenbach's clothes anywhere on the premises, and have reasoned that he was driving naked before the crash.
