Nearly All Newtown Power Outages Resolved

Update: Around five customers are without power as of Friday night.

NEWTOWN, CT — There are 273 Eversource customers without power in Newtown Friday afternoon.

The outage is 2.39 percent of the company's customer base in town. Overall there are more than 12,000 outages in Eversource Connecticut territory. More than 2,700 Danbury customers are without power as well.

Connecticut is being battered by strong wind gusts Friday. The strongest winds are forecast for th shoreline.
