Newtown Center Hosts New Book Club for Senior Citizens

A new opportunity for seniors in town is being presented by Old Glory to connect and discuss a common interest.

New Book Club for Senior Citizens to be held monthly at Old Glory Days Adult Day Center. The first meeting will be on Tuesday, April 26 at 4:30 PM, featuring The Shape of Mercy: A novel by Susan Meissner. A college student takes a part-time job from an 83-year-old librarian who asks her to transcribe the journal entries of her ancestor Mercy Hayworth, a victim of the Salem witch trials.
