New Consignment Shop Opens In Newtown
The new boutique offers curated clothing, handbags, shoes and accessories.
NEWTOWN, CT — A new consignment shop has opened in a former chapel in Newtown.
Confession Curated Clothing recently opened at 31 Hawleyville Road and is planning a grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 11.
Owned by Brookfield resident Erin Porter, the boutique specializes in curated women's consignment clothing and also offers handbags, shoes, jewelry and accessories.

Porter said she had considered opening a consignment shop for more than a decade before launching the business in the former Hawleyville chapel near the Brookfield town line.
Porter said the business aims to provide shoppers with affordable, high-quality fashion while promoting sustainability through resale. The shop is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
