Newtown Board of Selectmen to Discuss Options for New Community Center: Report
The meeting will discuss options for the community center, as well as potential locations.
NEWTOWN, CT — Town officials will discuss and be updated Monday regarding the latest developments in the plans for a new community center which voters approved in April, reports The News Times.
One of the options for the new center would be to include a great lawn with an ampitheater for outdoor festivals, according to the report. The architects will also be updating town leaders about the three locations proposed for the building.
Architects are investigating three sites behind the town's municipal center on the Fairfield Hills campus. The community center presentation will take place at the town's municipal center on Primrose street Monday evening.
