Newtown Celebrates Earth Day With Music, Crafts, Food, Fun & Film Fest
Newtown will celebrate its Annual Earth Day Festival on Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Newtown Middle School.
NEWTOWN, CT — Newtown will celebrate its Annual Earth Day Festival on Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Newtown Middle School.
Along with music, crafts, food and other vendors, attractions will be "highlighting Newtown's abundant natural resources, helping our community go green, and generating a green college scholarship for a deserving Newtown High School student," according to a flyer on the town website.
There will also be a screening of "Regenerating Life," a film by director John Feldman about how to "cool the planet, feed the world, and live happily ever after" at Edmond Town Hall on Thursday, April 25. The screening, followed by a Q&A with the director, begins at 7 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students, with all proceeds going to Newtown Earth Day and WPKN 89.5 FM.
