Newtown Election Results 2021: Rosenthal Wins Under New Party
Thousands of Newtown residents cast votes Tuesday in the 2021 municipal election, and reportedly approved the Hawley School HVAC project.

NEWTOWN, CT — Newtown incumbent First Selectman Dan Rosenthal ran unopposed Tuesday, but instead of running again as a Democrat, he was re-elected as a petition candidate under the Serve America Movement Party, reported the News-Times.
A majority of voters also reportedly voted "yes" for the following question, meaning the project will move forward:
"Shall the $8,000,000 special appropriation and $8,000,000 bond authorization for the
Hawley-Ventilation and HVAC renovation project be approved?"
