Newtown Foodie Alert: Wine & Chocolate Coming Soon!

NEWTOWN, CT-- Newtown's Economic Development Committee recently announced that two new businesses are coming soon to Newtown that involve wine and chocolate.

Wine lovers will be in heaven at Nouveau Monde Wine Bar, coming soon to Sandy Hook Village at 6 Washington Ave. There is no opening date yet, but like the aging of a fine wine, "creating something truly special takes time, patience, and discipline," their website states.

"While we complete the preparations for our guests, we invite you to follow along with our journey. Nouveau Monde Wine Bar is a place to enjoy the fresh and inspired, while relaxing in the comforts of the old. Come and enjoy exciting wines from the world over. Be daring and try a selection from our extensive by-the-glass list or share a bottle with your friends. Let us guide you through our list and suggest the right wine for your mood, pairing with delicious, innovate tapas-style share plates and entrées. Luxuriate and unwind in our cozy and stylish atmosphere, or hang out at the bar and make new friends."

Castle Hill Chocolate is also "coming soon" to 6 Queen Street. The company's website, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram pages do not have any additional information, however Bizapedia says Castle Hill Chocolate LLC is owned by Newtown resident Erica Sullivan. Instagram says Castle Hill Chocolate is "Newtown's sweet little chocolate shop."
