Newtown High Boys Lacrosse Off to Great Start in Win Vs. Brookfield

Newtown came out even stronger than its last match-up versus Brookfield.

The Newtown High School boy’s lacrosse team beat rival Brookfield 13 to 6 in what was a rematch of the SWC championship game.

Last time around Newtown came back from being four goals behind. This time around they handidly beat Brookfield, according to the News-Times.

Newtown led 4-2 at the half and kicked it into high gear with a quick goal by Jared Pearson. Overall Newtown took 31 shots, making 13 of them. Brookfield goalie Mark Dufresne had 16 saves.

Newtown got 5 goals in the third quarter and four in the fourth while Brookfield scored two goals in each of the second, third and fourth quarters.
