NEWTOWN, CT — Newtown High School will remain closed Tuesday, following a frozen pipe bursting Monday morning.

The flooding forced officials to close the school Monday morning, and caused "extensive damage" to all three floors of F Wing, according to Superintendent Chris Melillo.

Newtown High Principal Kimberly Longobucco sent an email to families Monday advising that the school would remain closed Tuesday.
