Newtown Man Accused Of Shooting Passing Car With BB Gun: Police
Police said officers responded to the incident Monday evening.
NEWTOWN, CT — A Newtown man is accused of shooting a passing vehicle with a BB gun Monday evening in Sandy Hook, according to Newtown Police.
Police said officers responded around 5:48 p.m. to Waterview Drive for a report of a man shooting the vehicle and causing damage.
The 82-year-old was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal mischief, second-degree breach of peace and second-degree reckless endangerment.

The man was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear June 3 in Danbury Superior Court.
