Newtown Man Accused Of Strangling Victim, Risking Injury To Child Arrested: Police
Police said the charges stem from an alleged assault at a Sandy Hook residence.

NEWTOWN, CT — A man is facing multiple charges following an assault at a Sandy Hook residence, according to Newtown police.
Police said officers responded to a home on Pine Street around 5:55 p.m. April 16 for a report of an assault. An investigation resulted in the arrest of Adam Pratt, 38, of Newtown, police said.
Pratt is charged with second-degree strangulation, second-degree assault of a special population, risk of injury to a child and breach of peace, according to police.

He was released after posting a $150,000 surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on April 17 at 9:30 a.m., police said.
