Newtown Officials Discuss Declining Enrollment
Closing down a school has been discussed again.

Newtown school officials discussed the town’s declining enrollment on Saturday and how the school district will cope.
A good part of the meeting centered on whether the school should study shutting down a school, an idea that has provoked strong emotions in the past, according to the News-Times.
Newtown’s enrollment is projected to decline by 200 students per year for the next five year, but enrollment could rebound in 2021-2022.
