Newtown PD Charges Teens With Property Damage At Fairfield Hills

Teens were trespassing and throwing AC units off the roof, according to Newtown police.

NEWTOWN, CT — Three residents were arrested after police say they were the cause of property damage and at Cochran House, located on the Fairfield Hills property.

Police received a call around 10:20 p.m. on Oct. 26, advising them that "individuals were damaging the building and throwing the AC units off the roof," of Cochran House, according to their report.

Responding officers found an AC unit hanging off the roof and damage to the building, police said. Police apprehended two adults and a juvenile.

Anthony Petrucci, 18, of Farrell Road, was charged with one count of simple trespassing. Ryan Gillinger, 18, of Skidmore Drive, was charged with one count of third-degree criminal trespassing, possession of alcohol by a minor, and third-degree criminal mischief. The police did not provide any information on the minor.
