Newtown PD Seeks Car Burglar
The suspect stole cash and a credit card out of a vehicle and used the card twice in nearby towns.
NEWTOWN, CT — Police are asking for the public's help to track down a suspect who stole cash and a credit card out of an unlocked vehicle on Commerce Road Aug. 27.
The theft happened between 8 and 9:30 a.m. in a parking lot. The suspect then used the credit card at the Shelton Walmart, police said. He then tried to use the card at Best Buy in Trumbull, but it was declined.
He may have left Best Buy in a small red vehicle.
