On Dec. 29 at 1:39 in the afternoon, Newtown police responded to a two vehicle collision on Glen Road.

According to the report, Constance Deflippo, 68, of Southbury, was driving in the northbound lane when she crossed the double yellow lines and hit a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. No one was injured in the crash, police said.
Police charged Deflippo with DUI, failure to carry an insurance card, failure to drive in the proper lane, and restricted turn. She posted 10 percent of the $500 bond set and was scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Jan. 10.

On Jan. 5 at 8:17 p.m., the Newtown PD dispatched officers to a motor vehicle accident near Elm Drive and CT 302. Police found the driver, Fernando Arevalo-Reinoso, 25, of Spring Street in Danbury, in the area of Scudder Road and Cobblestone Road.
After further investigation, police charged Arevalo-Reinoso with DUI, driving a motor vehicle with a suspended license, making an improper turn, and evading responsibility. He was released after posting a $500 bond , and scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Jan. 24.
On Jan. 8 at 7:09 p.m., police responded to a 911 call reporting a woman acting erratically inside the home at on Silver Brook Lane.
