Recent arrests by Newtown Police.

NEWTOWN, CT — Below are recent arrests by Newtown Police. Those charged are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

  • Scott Ostrosky, 45, of Sandy Hook was charged with DUI and making an improper turn after a motor vehicle stop on Feb. 29. He was released on a $1,000 bond.
  • Mario Pizighelli, 56, of Newtown was charged with sixth-degree larceny Feb. 19 after he stole $270 worth of groceries from Stop and Shop, police said.
  • Kristin Dimaria, 35, of Sandy Hook was charged with second-degree failure to appear after a traffic stop on I-84 Feb. 25. The original charges stem from a Brookfield Police arrest in 2018.
  • Diane Morrisey, 53, of Trumbull was charged with second-degree failure to appear after a motor vehicle stop on Feb. 26.
