Lost Property

A pair of black sunglasses inside a brown case was turned into the Newtown Police Department. They were found in the roadway near Mt. Pleasant Road and Hawleyville Road.

Celio Vales, 48, Of Watebury was charged with DUI and failure to drive in the proper lane on Oct. 27 after a motor vehicle stop.

Richard Timms, 43, Of Danbury was charged with DUI, operating without a license and possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana Oct. 10. He was found after police got a report of an unconscious man in a vehicle.

Danielle Boccher, 45, Of Sandy Hook was charged with DUI Oct. 25 after police got a report of an erratic driver.

Crashes Send People To Hospital

A Newtown woman was issued an infraction Oct. 24 after she turned into a vehicle on Main Street. The other operator was sent to the hospital.

A car ran off the road on Turkey Hill Road Oct. 23 and struck a stone wall. The operator was transported to the hospital for evaluation, but no injuries were reported at the scene.
