Newtown Police Charge Stratford Man With Assault

NEWTOWN, CT — Police charged a Stratford man with assault at a Red River Lane residence on July 2.

Newtown police were dispatched to the home following a report of a fight there, around 5:45 p.m.

Police arrested Charles Tyler, 62, of Stratford, after a brief investigation at the scene.

Tyler was charged with second-degree breach of peace, second-degree threatening and second-degree assault. He was held on a $50,000 bond and scheduled to appear before Danbury Superior Court July 10.
