NEWTOWN, CT — Newtown Public Schools are closed Tuesday due to the snowstorm.
Superintendent Chris Melillo made the announcement on Twitter shortly after 7:00 a.m.
A winter weather advisory remains in effect for interior sections of Fairfield County until 3 a.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. Snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches are expected.
