Pattiann Krehel of Newtown is one of the latest employees of the month at Bridgeport Hospital. She was recognized for her positive attitude and outstanding service to patients and co-workers during the period April-June.
Krehel is a patient care technician in the angioplasty suite who has also been with the hospital for just one year. She was selected as the May employee of the month. “Pattiann is thoughtful and compassionate, and recognizes when patients need a little something extra during their stay,” her nominators stated. “She asks important questions so she can understand what’s happening in the unit so she can anticipate the needs of patients and staff.”
Employees of the Month receive a plaque, a pin and a letter of commendation, and are eligible to be named Employee of the Year at the hospital’s annual employee recognition dinner in May.
Bridgeport Hospital is a private, not-for-profit acute care hospital located in Connecticut’s most populous city, primarily serving patients from Fairfield and New Haven Counties. Burn patients are seen in The Connecticut Burn Center—the only burn center in Connecticut—from throughout the state and neighboring states.
