Newtown Resident to Speak at Public Relations Society's International Conference in Washington, D.C
Cynthia Gallatin of Newtown, associate vice president & COO of Quinnipiac University Online, has been invited to speak at the conference.

Hamden, Conn. – Sept. 30, 2014 – Cynthia M. Gallatin, of Newtown, associate vice president and chief operating officer of Quinnipiac University Online, has been invited to speak at the Public Relations Society of America’s 2014 International Conference, “Leading the Way: A Fearless Future for PR,” Oct. 12-14 in Washington, D.C.
Gallatin will be a panelist at the professional development workshop, “Communication Next: How Communication Can Help Shape the Future of Higher Ed,” which is being offered by PRSA’s Counselors to Higher Education Section on Oct. 13.

Gallatin launched the online learning division at Quinnipiac University in 2001. This program provides instructional design, technical/administrative support, and admissions and marketing for all of the university’s online programs. Gallatin also was an adjunct faculty member in the Quinnipiac’s School of Business, where she taught various marketing courses.
Prior to her work at Quinnipiac, she held various sales and marketing positions. She worked in the market research industry for database marketing company, Survey Sampling, Inc., as well as for the medical publishing division of Prentice-Hall.

Gallatin is involved in many university technology initiatives and administrative process projects. Her current interests include the integration of technology in education, online marketing and new educational business models. She holds an MBA in marketing from the University of Bridgeport, and a B.S. in biology from Fairfield University.
