Newtown Road To Close For Bridge Replacement Project

NEWTOWN, CT — A bridge replacement project in Newtown will close a section of Brushy Hill Road beginning April 1, according to town officials.

The closure is tied to the replacement of the Brushy Hill Road bridge over Deep Brook, the town said in a notice posted to social media.

Officials said Brushy Hill Road will be closed to through traffic for the duration of the project. Detours will be in place to direct drivers around the construction area.
