Newtown School Administrator Leaving For Amity Regional District
Frank Purcaro, the head of teaching and learning for Newtown Public Schools, will become an assistant superintendent for Amity Regional.
NEWTOWN, CT — Newtown Public School's Frank Purcaro will leave the district to become an assistant superintendent for the Amity Region 5 district
The Amity Region 5 Board of Education appointed Purcaro as the district's new assistant superintendent. Purcaro's new role will be effective July 1.
Purcaro has been a teacher, assistant principal and director of student learning and teaching. He was also an assistant superintendent in the Wolcott school district.
