Newtown Seeks Residents To Fill Openings On Boards & Commissions
Among the openings: Five volunteers are needed to form the Fair Rent Commission.
NEWTOWN, CT — First Selectman Rosenthal is seeking residents to volunteer to fill vacancies on the following boards:
There is one opening on each of the following boards, available to any registered voter: The Fairfield Hills Authority and the Bike & Trail Committee. The last day to apply is August 25.
The Sustainable Energy Commission has a vacant seat available to a Republican or unaffiliated voter. The last day to apply is September 1.

Five volunteers are needed to form the Fair Rent Commission. Ideally, at least one member would be a landlord and another a tenant. The first applicants will be considered as the commission will be formed soon.
