Newtown Seeks Volunteers For 2 Town Boards & 1 Commission

NEWTOWN, CT — Newtown is looking to fill vacancies on two boards and one commission, and residents who may be interested should submit a resume to the town by Dec. 22, according to officials.

The available positions are as follows; note that the vacancies are based on a resident's registered voting status by political party or unaffiliated standing:

• The Public Building and Site Commission has an alternate vacancy available to a Democrat or unaffiliated voter.
• The Design Advisory Board has an alternate vacancy available to a Republican or unaffiliated voter. Resumes are due by December 22.
• The C.H. Booth Library Board of Trustees has a vacancy available to a Republican or unaffiliated voter. Resumes are due by December 22.
