Newtown Seeks Volunteers For 2 Town Commissions

Registered Republicans, or unaffiliated voters, are eligible.

NEWTOWN, CT — The town is looking for volunteers to fill vacancies on two Newtown commissions, First Selectman Dan Rosenthal announced this week.

The vacant positions are on the Sustainable Energy Commission, and the Commission on Aging.

In both cases, registered Republicans, or unaffiliated registered voters, are eligible to serve. Resumes for the energy group are due by Thursday, and resumes for the aging group are due by Oct. 12.

Anyone who wants to be considered for either post is asked to send a letter of interest and a resume to susan.marcinek@newtown-ct.gov.
