Newtown Standoff Ends in Arrest

The 35-year-old man involved was arrested after a brief standoff with police.

A brief standoff that occurred after a man threatened to shoot anyone who went to his house ended in an arrest, according to police.

Police went to the Dusty Lane Home around 9 p.m. Sunday night, according to the News-Times.

The victim and child already left the property by the time police arrived. A permitted was set-up and police negotiated with Samir Raslan, 35, to come out.

He was charged with threatening, breach of peace, risk of injury to a child and second-degree unlawful restraint.
