Newtown Students to Hold 'Die-In' Tonight in NYC
The Junior Newtown Action Alliance is looking "to send a strong message."

NEWTOWN, CT -- Newtown students will join students from New York City Friday, May 25, at 6:00 p.m. in Washington Square Park for a "die-in" on the one week anniversary of the mass shooting at Santa Fe High School in Texas.
The Newtown students, members of the Junior Newtown Action Alliance, are holding the protest "to send a strong message that they will no longer tolerate being senselessly gunned down in schools, movie theaters, malls, churches, concert venues, and in the streets," according to a media release.
The activists are planning another march and rally on June 7 in Newtown, as well as participating in the "National Die-In Day" scheduled for June 12 in Washington D.C.
