Nurse Sandra Kay Marquis, 75, of Newtown Passed Away

NEWTOWN, CT — Sandra Kay (Grouse) Marquis, age 75, of Newtown, CT died Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Bethel Health Care. She was the widow of Edgar Eugene Marquis.

She was born in Danbury, CT July 12, 1940, daughter of the late Ethel (Beale) and Andrew Jackson Grouse. She was a Registered Nurse most of her life and worked at Danbury Hospital until her retirement.

Sandra is survived by her sons: Jeffrey and Timothy Marquis both of Newtown; daughter: Bonnie Marquis-Hoey of Huntington, WV and four grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dodgingtown Volunteer Fire Dept., 55 Dodgingtown Rd., Newtown, CT 06470 or to the Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corp., P.O. Box 344, Newtown, CT 06470.

Services will be private. There are no calling hours. The Bethel Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
