Obituary: Ayako Tsukada Piera, 58, of Newtown

Ayako​ expertly built guitar effects pedals with her husband at Analogman. She loved dancing, eating, traveling, and watching tennis.

NEWTOWN, CT — Ayako Tsukada Piera, of Newtown, passed away peacefully at Danbury Hospital on January 19, 2019 at the age of 58. Her daughter, Laina, and husband, Michael, were by her side.

Ayako was born in September 1960 in Tokyo, Japan along with her twin sister, Matsuko. She graduated with her bachelor's degree from Meiji University in Tokyo. She met Michael in Tokyo, and they were married in 1986. She lived in Connecticut since that time and disliked the cold weather but loved her daughter and husband.

Ayako expertly built guitar effects pedals with her husband at Analogman. She loved dancing, eating, traveling, and watching tennis.

She bravely underwent numerous cancer treatments over the past nine years.She will always be remembered for her positive energy.

Ayako leaves behind many loving family and friends in Tokyo and Connecticut. A Memorial Gathering will be announced later in the year.
