Obituary: Charles Steck Ferris, Jr., 33, Formerly Of Newtown

NEWTOWN, CT — Charles Steck Ferris, Jr., age 33, of Falls Village, CT formerly of Newtown, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022. He was the loving son of Charles Steck Ferris, Sr. and Patricia Ann (McCarthy) Ferris of Falls Village.

He also leaves behind his grandmother, Joyce Steck Ferris and her friend Brian Wright of Bethel, CT; four sisters, Rachel Murray and her husband J.P. of New Milford, Kimberly Tamagna and her husband Anthony of Malden, MA, Chelsea Rappleyea and her husband Sean of White Plains, NY, Erin Ferris and her fiancé Christopher Donahue of Woodbury; two brothers, Justin Bauer of Barefoot Bay, FL, and William Ferris of Falls Village, as well as five nieces and nephews and many aunts and uncles.

He was brought up in the towns of Bethel and Newtown, graduating from Newtown High School and on to Naugatuck College for some Horticulture Studies. Working with plants and landscapes was his passion. He was loved by all for his kind, loving heart. May he find peace in heaven now.

The family will receive friends at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Church, 26 Dodgingtown Rd., Bethel, Wednesday Dec. 14 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will be at the convenience of the family.
