Obituary: Geraldine Margaret (Bailey) Brewster, 89, of Newtown

NEWTOWN, CT — Geraldine Margaret (Bailey) Brewster, age 89, of Newtown passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018 in Baltimore, Maryland. She was born in Kingston, New York on May 9th, 1929, daughter of Geraldine (Kiernan) and Aloysius Bailey.

Mrs. Brewster was a longtime employee of DuPont Sorvall in Newtown and a member of the board of VFW Post 308. She was also active in her church, St. Rose of Lima in Newtown.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Ellison of Lewis, DE, and her son, Robert Brewster of Southbury and granddaughter Alana Andrews and her husband Chris Gery of Maryland, as well as granddaughter Bailey Brewster of Massachusetts, and grandson Robert Brewster of Middletown.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Rose of Lima Church, Newtown Friday, October 12th at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Rose Cemetery will follow. Friends may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown Thursday October 11th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friends and family are invited to gather at the VFW post 308, 18 Tinkerfield Rd., Newtown, following the burial.
