NEWTOWN, CT — Kate (Lubus) Simmons, 54, of Newtown, wife of the late Keith J. Simmons, daughter of Hickey Jack Lubus and the late Joan (Telenko) Lubus, died on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Danbury Hospital. Graveside funeral services and burial will take place in Newtown Village Cemetery, Elm Drive & Hawley Road, Newtown, CT on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 12:30 pm. The family will receive friends at the time of service. Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury is in charge of arrangements.
